Megastars Duran Duran first formed in Birmingham, England, in 1978. They shot to fame with the advent of MTV's continuous playing of music videos and have since been creating incredible music and thrilling audiences with their live shows.
It's safe to say that the music video for "Girls on Film," off the band's 1981 self-titled debut album, played a significant role in the song's meteoric rise to fame. MTV aired an abridged version of it during a regularly scheduled program. They had international success with their second album, Rio (1982), which peaked at No. 1 in Australia and No. 2 in both Canada and the United Kingdom, respectively.
The music videos for "Hungry Like the Wolf" and "Rio" were directed by Australian filmmaker Russell Mulcahy. A Grammy was awarded to "Hungry Like the Wolf" for Best Music Video in 1984. Seven and the Ragged Tiger was their third studio album, and its single "The Reflex" was a huge success in the United Kingdom and the United States. A View to a Kill," the band's 1985 smash hit, was included on the soundtrack for the 007 movie.
Several albums and tons of record sales later, they now have a new album out, "Future Past." During this tour, you can expect to hear all the fan favorites and their new stuff too. Don't miss out on this once in a lifetime opportunity—click the "Get Tickets" button below to purchase your seats now.
