Stone Temple Pilots:
The band released its debut album, “Core,” and went on to sell over 8 million copies worldwide. Following this successful feat, the album earned the band a Grammy Award. In 1994, the band hit the studio once again to record their second album which was facing high expectations due to the success of its predecessor.
“Purple” was released and it cemented Stone Temple Pilots’ place as one of the most definitive bands of their generation, debuting at #1 on the Billboard album chart. The album’s singles are “Interstate Love Song,” “Vasoline,” and “Big Empty” which sold over 6 million copies.

The band released their third studio album, “Throwing Copper,” alongside a series of hit singles. They’re all so iconic, you definitely remember them! Namely, “Selling the Drama,” “I Alone,” “All Over You,” and the unforgettable radio mainstay, “Lightning Crashes.” The latter was at #1 on Modern Rock Radio for 10 consecutive weeks. The album was also #1 on the Billboard Top 200 and went on to sell over 10 million copies.
