Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island has been the go-to venue for live entertainment ever since it opened to the public in 2005. This outdoor amphitheater holds up to 30,000 people and sits on the human-made peninsula Northerly Island, in Chicago, Illinois. Known and loved as the “Venue with a View,” Huntington Bank Pavilion boasts stunning views of Lake Michigan, Burnham Harbor, Soldier Field, and the Chicago skyline. That’s not the only view attendees get, as the amphitheater also has a huge 56′ × 40′ stage with 15′ × 20′ video screens on either side of the stage. Huntington Bank Pavilion features three awesome grandstands (with 3,666 seats) and a general admission area (with 4,500 seats).

Every year, the venue welcomes thousands and thousands of happy concertgoers to celebrate the biggest tours of the year. Huntington Bank Pavilion hasn’t only won over the hearts of local Chicagoans, but is hailed one the top destinations to watch your favorite performer around the world. Shows are so iconic that they go down in history with live filmed performances, including 2007’s Incubus – Look Alive, 2009’s Jason Mraz – Beautiful Mess: Live on Earth, 2010’s O.A.R. – Rain or Shine, 2011’s 311 – 311: Live in Chicago, 2023’s Two Friends – Big Bootie Land Chicago Concert Premiere, and 2024’s King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard – Live In Chicago ’24. What better way to open the season than with the comeback tour of the century?! On May 23, Neil Young & Crazy Horse played to the very back of the crowd with their rock-filled timeless hits. They even threw in a few songs from their new opus, “Fu##in’ Up.” Rap heavyweight Bryson Tiller followed their historic performance on May 24. His show was just as epic as he brought his brand new self-titled album to life. Special guests DJ Nitrane and Slum Tiller also came along for the ride! DJ Nitrane absolutely commanded the stage, no wonder he’s hailed “one of the most skilled DJs of his generation!!” On May 28, Needtobreathe & Judah and The Lion took over the Huntington Bank Pavilion with The Caves Tour. The concert saw the heavyweights rock out with fans to their latest, ninth studio album.

From 1-2 June, Insomniac Events brought the grand debut of Beyond Wonderland Chicago to the Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island. Inspired by Lewis Carroll’s classic story, “Alice’s Adventure in Wonderland”, the legendary festival was a mad tea party, right in Wonderland. Featuring the hottest EDM acts around, it was the ultimate rave party in the lead up to an awesome summer. June also saw some incredible acts at the Huntington Bank Pavilion, including Sarah McLachlan & Feist (June 11), Pixies & Modest Mouse (June 19), Third Eye Blind, Yellowcard & Arizona (June 28), as well as Caifanes & Cafe Tacvba (June 29).

Some highlights from July were Cavetown & Mother Mother (July 13) and A Day To Remember (July 25), as well as a two-day rager from alternative music titans Vampire Weekend from 26 until 27 July. Summer was sizzling this year with the hottest acts around like Omar Apollo (August 23), Glass Animals (August 28-29), Avril Lavigne (September 10), and Stone Temple Pilots (September 11). And what better way to send off the season than with heavyweights like Kygo & Zara Larsson (September 25), Kings of Leon & Phantogram (September 28), and John Summit (October 10-12)?!
