What better soundtrack to a carefree summer than the easy, breezy songs of Hawaiian-born smooth surfer Jack Johnson? After 3 years away from touring, the "Better Together" singer is back on the road with an exciting new album to promote, and he's heading to Firstmerit Bank Pavilion on Friday 2nd June 2017 to play his hot-off-the-press new tunes! Also, fans will be treated to support from Canadian troubadour Bahamas!
Having started out as a professional surfer, American singer, songwriter, musician, actor, record producer and documentary film maker Jack Johnson had a severe accident aged 17, leading him to pursue a career in music. After an appearance on the song “Rodeo Clowns” from the G-Love album Philadelphonic, Johnson released his debut album, Brushfire Fairytales, in 2001. A hit with mainstream audiences, he has continued to have success with his following albums, earning the number one spot on the Billboard 200 with his albums Sing-A-Longs and Lullabies for the Film Curious George (2006), Sleep Through the Static (2008), To the Sea (2010), and From Here to Now to You (2013). Johnson's 2005 album In Between Dreams also did well in the charts, peaking at number two twice, once in 2005 and again in 2013. Johnson's next album will be released in summer 2017.
