Sad Summer Festival: Taking Back Sunday, The Maine, Pvris, Hot Mulligan & Mom Jeans at Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island

The Sad Summer Festival is an annual music gathering of emo fans. Founded in 2019, the festival featured some of the most celebrated pop, punk, and emo bands. The festival came at a time when many fans were mourning the loss of the Vans Warped Tour. Fortunately, Sad Summer Festival founder Tim Kirch found a way to fill that void with a highly-anticipated annual gathering of music lovers. In 2019, Kirch, a band manager and founder of 8123 Media, gathered some big names, such as Mayday Parade, The Maine, The Wonder Years, State Champs, and more. In 2021, the line-up comprised All Time Low, The Story so Far, Movements, and The Maine.

By 2022, the buzz has grown, and fans know there is a new player in town to deliver monumental rock festivals. Sad Summer Festival returned with a phenomenal billing comprising Water Parks, Neck Deep, and Mayday Parade. This 2023, the festival welcomes Taking Back Sunday and Pvris for the first time and will also see the triumphant return of The Maine, Hot Mulligans, and Mom Jeans.

Some performers, including Andrew McMahon and the Wilderness, Head Automatica, Motion City Soundtrack, and more, are also set to make appearances on select dates.
